Irish Traditional Night featuring Rob Sharer and Margaret Rush
"Solid musicianship and a love of the tradition shine through in Crann Úll's music. Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Rob Sharer and guitarist/singer Margaret Rush deliver the goods whether interpreting a traditional song or tune or a cover of a contemporary song. The old and the new are in good hands with this duo." - Sonny Thomas, Fiddle and Bow Society
Rob Sharer is a guitarist, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who has long been active on the folk scene in North Carolina and abroad. After years as a member of Greensboro's beloved Boys of Blue Hill, he moved to New York to tour with Rounder Records recording artists The Burns Sisters, then followed his love of Irish music to Ireland, settling in County Clare.
Margaret Rush's simple singing style conveys the power of the song itself to the listener. A native of Dublin, Margaret left in 2000, and has lived in Sweden and Canada, quickly becoming part of the Irish trad scene.
