Irish Traditional Concert/Session with Buckner, Reeves, & Leonard
Please join us for a delightful evening of Irish traditional music hosted by Fred Lail featuring Clay Buckner, Larre Reeves, and Dan Leonard. Concert first, followed by a session, so bring your instruments!
Clay Buckner has been playing fiddle since the early 70's. He started out learning Old Time music in the Boone/Banner Elk area of North Carolina. He joined the Red Clay Ramblers in 1980. These days he is much more active in the local Irish session scene and has become especially enamored of the music of County Clare, Ireland.
Larre Reeves is a multi-instrumentalist now living in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Larre learned much of his music from the older generation of Irish musicians living in the United States, as well as frequent trips to County Clare, Ireland.
Dan Leonard came to Irish music at the relatively late age of 28. Dan has resided in Raleigh NC since 1984 and has been a regular at sessions in the Triangle area since then.
