The ‘Boro Sessions in combination with The Music Academy of NC presents an unforgettable “Celtic Guitar Workshop with Tony McManus”, a world class guitar workshop diving into the real nuts and bolts of Celtic music. Learn Celtic guitar from one of the finest players in the world. Come play and spend time together in this supportive environment.

Tony has been teaching private lessons, masterclasses and group workshops for over 20 years. He loves sharing his passion and skills with people from all over the world. For the last 11 years he has been hosting his very own annual guitar weekend in the beautiful town of Elora, Ontario.

Tony’s teaching is brilliantly clear, accessible and inspiring. Workshop participants should be prepared to play, laugh and learn. This workshop is tailored to all levels and promises a variety of learning outcomes which include: intro to dadgad tuning, melodies with open scales, left hand techniques, triplet on string 1 & 2, frailing and using a capo and common celtic rhythms.

Celtic music may very well be one of the purest and richest forms of folk music across the entire history of music.
